Heavy Spirits is a Funk, Rhythm, and Soul outfit based in Austin, TX.
The ensemble has gathered many accolades in their early period; including a two night split bill with George Porter Jr. of The Meters, an opening showcase for Melody Trucks and Melvin Seals, On-Stage collaborations with FreekBass, Joe Marcinek, Chuckie Love of The Werks, Former Hot Tuna drummer Erik Diaz, and many many more.

Built from from a rotating cast of high caliber musicians and vocalists, the group facilitates various instrument configurations; though most often perform as either a trio, a quartet, or a septet with horns.
